Virtual Hosted Desktop Vendor Leostream Raises $3 million Series A Round

Leostream announced it raised US$3 million in a first round of venture capital funding led by Meakem Becker Venture Capital of Pittsburgh, PA. Leostream will use the proceeds from its sale of Series A shares for the expansion of sales and marketing.

“Leostream has been shipping virtualization-related products since 2003,” said Leostream CEO Michael Palin. “We are well-positioned as a connection broker for Hosted Desktops, supporting Virtual Machines, Physical Machines, and Terminal Services. Working with Meakem Becker allows us to add sales and marketing resources and expand our reseller channel globally to better serve our customers and partners.”

Leostream customers include Avaya, Bell Canada, Commerzbank, The Mayo Clinic, Samsung, the US Patent and Trademark Office, and 100 other organizations in multiple industries.
