Shunra Software Joins the VMware Virtualization Technology Alliance Partner Program
Shunra Virtual Enterprise Integrates with VMware Deployments Creating "Network Aware" Virtualized Testing Environments

Shunra Software announced it has joined the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. The VMware TAP program helps technology vendors integrate their products with VMware virtualization software and deliver timely, joint solutions to mutual customers.

"We are excited to welcome Shunra Software as the newest member of the VMware TAP program," said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware. "The VMware TAP program offers companies like Shunra the tools and resources they need to develop high-value solutions that meet the needs of our mutual customers."

Shunra Virtual Enterprise (VE) Desktop Professional, the VE Suite, and WAN Emulation appliance facilitate comprehensive application lifecycle performance management solutions for VMware Infrastructure deployments. Learn more about how these technologies work together here.

"Customers use Shunra in conjunction with VMware software to easily transform their virtual test environment into a complete virtual enterprise for application testing. This allows IT groups to conduct pre-deployment application testing in a virtual test lab and avoid the resource intensive practices traditionally used to ensure successful rollouts; the result is significant cost savings," said Thomas Charlton, Shunra Software CEO. "This alliance is a response to market demand for technologies that tackle the challenge of minimizing resource requirements while reflecting the real world production environment."

With more than 700 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.

Organizing people and using the tools of Web 2.0 to create a workforce. http://web3solutions.blogspot.com/ Welcome to Web 3.0. Rob@LetterRep.com
Chuck wrote: The sooner we dump the web browser as an application development platform, the better. Browsers are good at browsing, but that's about it. Web 3.0 should be something radically better than RIAs. Something like FRIAs. These new RIA tools are a big improvement, but they are still built on the same crappy technology (browsers, HTML, JavaScript, servlets) we've been using. So, call them Web 2.5. FRIAs are Filthy Rich Internet Applications. These are remotely run virtual applications that provide the full GUI and full capabilities of a fat client with skinnier install than RIAs. Toss in better security, better compliance, centralized management, and just about everything else is better too. The technologies to do this have been around for a while, but they are finally reaching critical mass. FRIAs should be Web 3.0
