ExaGrid Functionality Streamlines Backup for VMware Virtualization Environments

ExaGrid Systems Announces Support for Vizioncore vRanger Pro

ExaGrid Systems announced support for Vizioncore’s backup and recovery solution, vRanger Pro. Both ExaGrid and Vizioncore offer products and solutions that streamline the management of data backup and recovery processes for VMware users.

Vizioncore is a provider of a comprehensive set of solutions that extend and enhance the capabilities of virtualized environments. More than 12,000 customers globally use Vizioncore’s products for backup and recovery, P2V/V2V, monitoring and optimization of their virtual servers. ExaGrid offers VMware customers using Vizioncore’s vRanger Pro with fast backups and restores, along with high data de-duplication ratios (up to many 1,000s to 1).

“The combination of ExaGrid and Vizioncore vRanger Pro products offers an easy-to-use backup solution to VMware users,” said Marc Crespi, VP of Product Management for ExaGrid Systems, Inc. “Vizioncore’s thousands of customers can now gain greater value from their investment in virtualization technologies by leveraging the benefits of ExaGrid’s high-performance, scalable Disk-based Backup System with data de-duplication.”

“We are very pleased that ExaGrid has provided support for our vRanger Pro solution, giving customers an additional option to streamline and speed up the backup process,” said George Pradel, Director of Strategic Alliances for Vizioncore Inc. “We believe that de-duplication is an essential strategy that creates critical efficiencies needed by anyone running virtual machines today.”

Vizioncore’s vRanger Pro solution offers full image level and differential backups of virtual machines to enable faster, more efficient storage and recovery of virtual machines. ExaGrid’s Disk-based Backup systems serve as the backup target for these virtual machine images, using high-performance, post-process data de-duplication to dramatically reduce the disk storage capacity required for backups versus standard disk storage.
