Everywhere you look, someone somewhere is talking about clouds. Cloud this, cloud that, what on earth is all this fuss about? Well the good news, as with most technologies it's never as complicated as the marketing hype would lead you to believe.
We've been working in the 'cloud' world for over 2 years now, with many a large installation under our belts. We've worked with all the major cloud providers and deploying fault tolerant solutions both within and outwith the cloud.
We were invited to conduct a 'boot camp', that would take people through how they can utilise the cloud infrastructures, and demonstrate all the different types and illustrate that its not as far away from their current thinking as they may probably fear.
Staged in San Jose, November 19th, you can come along and learn how all the players fit into the cloud picture, and highlight the different types of services on offer from each. As in the real world, no two clouds are the same.
We'll go through in depth how to utilise the likes of Amazon, GoGrid, Flexiscale, to name some of the big names, as well as looking at other service providers such as the Google App Engine, SalesForce and what they have to offer. In addition, we'll look at content delivery services such as Amazon S3 and Nirvanix and see how they can aid your production environments.
But that is just one part of it. We will be looking at how you can transpose the clouds and build solutions that do not tie you into a single provider. We'll even show you how to deploy a fault tolerant solution that runs on two separate providers at the same time.
With hands-on deployment, real world examples, it will be an invaluable days worth of training for anyone intrigued as to what the world of clouds has to offer them.
