NEW ORLEANS, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- CTIA -- JP Mobile(R) (http://www.jpmobile.com/ ), a leading provider of enterprise mobility software, today launched SureWave(R) Mobile Connect for Service Providers, a subscription-based, secure, wireless e-mail/PIM solution optimized for service provider delivery to the growing number of businesses opting for hosted e-mail over in-house messaging solutions.
According to recent studies, hosted e-mail currently accounts for nearly 70 percent of all e-mail accounts worldwide. JP Mobile's SureWave Mobile Connect for Service Providers enables hosted e-mail providers -- application service providers (ASPs), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Webmail providers, carrier vendors, mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), and wireless operators -- to easily deploy a secure, highly scalable subscription service for extending Microsoft Outlook(R) e-mail and personal information management (PIM) data to SureWave-enabled mobile devices. SureWave further maximizes the profit potential of hosted e-mail providers by featuring automated, low-cost, over-the-air (OTA) provisioning of mobile devices.
"Hosted e-mail providers are ideally positioned to drive the adoption of wireless e-mail among enterprises of all sizes, but particularly among small- to mid-sized businesses, which is a potentially rich but as yet untapped market segment," said Dayakar Puskoor, CEO for JP Mobile. "Over the next several years as more and more businesses seek the productivity gains and competitive advantage of anytime, anywhere access to corporate e-mail and other data, they will look to their service providers for mobility solutions that are secure, reliable and affordable. SureWave for Service Providers was built from the ground up to address this need. We're very excited about this solution, and we anticipate an enthusiastic response as we aggressively market SureWave to ASPs, ISPs, Webmail providers, MVNOs and wireless operators."
SureWave Mobile Connect for Service Providers features include: * Easy subscription -- A simple, flexible subscription model makes it easy to sign up customers. * Provider-branded solution -- Uniquely branded service for new and existing customers, not reselling a potentially competitive brand. * Increased revenue from Hosted Exchange Subscribers -- Increase revenue from existing customers by offering wireless push email and PIM synchronization for subscriber mobile devices. * Customer acquisition -- Drive new hosting prospects by first wirelessly extending corporate hosted Exchange without installing anything behind the corporate firewall. * Low-cost, 'no-touch' device provisioning -- New subscriber devices are provisioned automatically via over-the-air (OTA) wireless downloads, eliminating costly and inefficient manual provisioning tasks. * Efficient system administration -- Centralized, web-based administrative tools simplify administrative tasks, reducing the manpower needed to manage a subscriber base. * Scalability -- New subscribers are easily and cost-effectively added. * Versatility -- Support all popular wireless devices and platforms, allowing business users to retain or choose the mobile device of their choice. * Security -- End-to-end security, including on-device encryption, over- the-air encryption and behind-the-firewall, server-based protection.
