Mitel and Sun Ray create fit for companies large and small

Mitel and Sun Microsystems announced their global OEM agreement, a move aimed at creating a virtualized voice and data desktop. With the combination of Mitel call control on Sun servers and the Mitel Unified IP Client for Sun Ray, Mitel and Sun have delivered a desktop solution that provides an authentication source for voice and data hot desking and mobility.

Combined with Mitel core applications, including Mitel Mobile Extension and the Mitel Teleworker Solution, the Mitel Unified IP Client for Sun Ray provides businesses with a voice and data solution for virtualized environments. With the use of a single Java card, the Mitel Unified IP Client allows employees to access all telephony and desktop applications from any Sun Ray location, whether at their desk, elsewhere in the building, at home, or in a remote office anywhere in the world.
