HP Pays for Techno-Junk

Recycling program covers PCs to smartphones

HP US is offering folding money for your recyclable techno-junk, the stuff you've been meaning to donate to charity or just get rid of because your wife can't stand it anymore.

If it still works and hasn't been dropped off a 10-story building it might be worth a few bucks.

It doesn't much matter what brand it is; HP is on a tear to save it from the landfill and refurnish it - probably contributing to its success.

The program covers unwanted PCs, monitors, printers, digital cameras, PDAs and smartphones.

If the stuff is of no earthly value and carries an HP or Compaq brand, it'll be responsibly disposed of for free.

See www.hp.com/go/ConsumerBuyback for a quote, net of shipping costs.

For a fee, HP will pick the stuff up.
