Bull Launches myVMBox

A built-to-order combination of VMware infrastructure on Bull NovaScale servers

Bull has come up with what it calls myVMBox, a built-to-order combination of VMware infrastructure on Bull NovaScale servers and StoreWay storage plus a systems administration platform supporting VMware's vCenter and Bull's System Manager.

Everything is pre-integrated before leaving the factory, which reportedly reduces deployment time - as well as the costs involved - by a factor of 10. Bull claims it also enhanced overall infrastructure reliability.

Bull says the solution can be configured to the profile of the applications to be virtualized and the amount of data involved, and can form an integral part of a disaster recovery plan.

It involves whistling up Bull's Virtualization Center of Expertise for system scoping, proof of concept, best practice and optimization, so the configurations are ready to implement on-site.
